Welcome to The French House of Clay
A space where artistry, authenticity, and play come together—one soulful piece at a time.
Hi, I’m Jessica Andriessen—a French artist who’s been happily rooted in Northeast Wisconsin for the past decade. Though my background is in engineering, my heart has always belonged to the arts. I’ve also been a business owner for the past eight years, having started and grown several ventures—primarily in real estate, and now in the creative world. Entrepreneurship has allowed me to explore my creativity in many different ways and tap into my full potential. I come from a creatively rich family in France, and over the years, I’ve explored many artistic paths. But three years ago, I discovered pottery—and the moment I touched clay, I was completely hooked.
My mission
The French House of Clay is about more than pottery. My mission is to help others reconnect with their own creative spirit and to inspire them to follow their dreams—no matter how big or small, or what stage of life they're in.
Creativity, to me, is essential—not just for making art, but for living a fuller, more joyful life. It gives us permission to slow down, to experiment, and to express what words often cannot. It can be deeply restorative—helping us navigate stress, rekindle curiosity, and build confidence that ripples into every part of our lives.
One of my greatest joys is sharing the magic of creativity with others through my workshops. These gatherings are playful, welcoming spaces where people of all ages can explore clay, try something new, and reconnect with their creative side. Whether you're carving a mug, crafting trivets, or simply having fun with textures and color, my workshops are designed to be uplifting, empowering, and full of heart.
I also believe in the power of encouragement. That’s why I share tips for starting and growing creative businesses, spread positivity through motivational messages, and try to offer small doses of happiness and kindness wherever I can. Because sometimes, one kind word or one handmade piece is all it takes to spark something beautiful in someone else.
Because creativity isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present. It’s about getting your hands messy, embracing the unexpected, and finding beauty in the process itself.
So whether you're here to bring a new piece of handmade art into your home, to spark your next big idea, or to tap into your own creativity—I'm so glad you’re here.
